Mobile Engineer - React Native (100% Remote)

As a Mobile Engineer at Tether, you'll develop and maintain Keet Mobile, our peer-to-peer chat and calling app for iOS and Android. Built with React Native and Expo, Keet Mobile runs a custom P2P core on the device itself. You'll own features end to end, from UI/UX implementation to integrating the P2P core APIs, working closely with the core P2P, design, and product teams.

What you'll do

• Build and polish features across chat, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup
• Integrate native platform capabilities such as push notifications, camera, biometrics, and background tasks on both iOS and Android
• Profile and optimise performance on real devices, including startup time, long chats, media handling, battery, and network usage
• Write unit and end-to-end tests, and help keep releases stable through CI and crash reporting
• Review code with a high bar for quality and collaborate closely with core P2P, design, and product teams

What you bring

• Proficiency in React Native and mobile development for iOS and Android
• Experience integrating native platform capabilities and working with peer-to-peer technology
• Strong performance profiling and optimisation skills on real devices
• Experience writing unit and end-to-end tests
• Excellent English communication skills
