Mobile Engineer - React Native (100% Remote)

As a Mobile Engineer at Tether, you develop and maintain Keet Mobile, our peer-to-peer chat and calling app for iOS and Android. You own features end to end, from UI/UX implementation using React Native to integrating the custom P2P core running on the device itself. You work closely with the core P2P, design, and product teams to ship a fast, reliable, and polished application.

What you'll do

• Build and polish features across chat, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup
• Integrate native platform capabilities such as push notifications, camera, biometrics, and background tasks on both iOS and Android
• Profile and optimise performance on real devices, including startup time, long chats, media handling, battery, and network use
• Write unit and end-to-end tests and help keep releases stable through CI and crash reporting
• Review code with a high bar for quality and collaborate closely with the core P2P, design, and product teams

What you bring

• Strong production experience with React Native and Expo
• Proficiency in building and integrating native iOS and Android capabilities
• Excellent English communication skills
