Mobile Engineer - React Native (100% Remote)

As a Mobile Engineer at Tether, you develop and maintain Keet Mobile, a peer-to-peer chat and calling app for iOS and Android. The app is built with React Native and Expo, with a P2P core that runs on device itself. You own features end to end, from UI/UX implementation to integrating the P2P core APIs, working closely with the core P2P, design, and product teams.

What you'll do

• Build and polish features across chat, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup
• Integrate native platform capabilities such as push notifications, camera, biometrics, and background tasks on both iOS and Android
• Profile and optimise performance on real devices, including startup time, long chats, media handling, battery, and network use
• Write unit and end-to-end tests and help keep releases stable through CI and crash reporting
• Review code with a high bar for quality
