57 salaries · our own dataMost product roles in crypto pay between $178k and $246k, with a median of $196k.
As a Principal Product Manager at Lean Technologies, you own the product for LeanX, the cross-border payments and stablecoin infrastructure business. This is a startup within a scale-up: LeanX is early, and you would shape it from close to day one, setting product direction, deciding what to build and in what order, and working directly with engineering. You have Lean's infrastructure, licences, clients and leadership behind you. Volume is growing quickly, your first large clients are going live, and your job is to turn the manual processes currently run by leadership into a scalable product.
What you'll do
- Own product strategy for LeanX across all product lines: decide what to build, why, and in what order; turn strategy into clear specs, priorities and roadmaps; make the call when priorities change with a clear view of capacity and trade-offs; help shape and communicate LeanX's long-term strategy across the company.
- Build a cross-border platform that competes with leading global payout networks: make it scale to more volume, more clients and more corridors without rebuilding; automate treasury operations (pre-funding, liquidity, FX and reconciliation); define the technical infrastructure needed and guide engineering to build it; make client integration, APIs, documentation, sandbox and onboarding frictionless; treat regulation, licensing and partner coverage as part of the product.
- Own the roadmap for stablecoin infrastructure including wallets as a service, on-ramps and off-ramps, stablecoin acceptance and payouts; decide which adjacent opportunities to pursue and when.
- Ensure LeanX builds on Lean's core infrastructure rather than rebuilding existing capabilities; keep one clean platform across stablecoin and fiat, across licences and product lines as it grows; align ways of working between teams.
- Be the first stop for product questions from clients, the commercial team and the wider company so engineers focus on building; work with commercial on the pipeline to understand what each client needs to go live; set up automation for routine coordination.
What you bring
- 8+ years in product management, including senior ownership of B2B or infrastructure products.
- Experience in cross-border payments, remittance, payouts, treasury, or stablecoin and digital asset infrastructure.
- Strong technical fluency: you are comfortable with APIs, system design conversations and the trade-offs engineers face.
- A track record of taking products from early stage to scale, ideally in a startup or new business line.
- Comfort working in regulated environments and treating compliance and licensing as product inputs.
- Clear, concise written communication: you write specs and strategy documents yourself.
- Experience working with distributed engineering teams across time zones.
- High agency and good judgment under ambiguity.
Nice to have
- Experience in the GCC, South Asia or other emerging-market payment corridors.
- Experience building with AI tools to automate product and team workflows.
- Arabic language skills.
