Product Owner (Hanoi)

As a Senior Product Owner at Travala, you'll be instrumental in ideating, planning, and driving the launch of new products and features while refining existing offerings. Based in our Hanoi office and reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you'll align user needs with business goals to deliver best-in-class solutions across traditional online travel booking and blockchain technology. You'll collaborate closely with a distributed Product team spanning Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Gurgaon, and Bangkok, partnering with Business Analysts, Product Managers, UX designers, Engineers, and our traveler and crypto communities.

What you'll do

• Develop a deep understanding of Travala's business, customers, and their needs through qualitative and quantitative user research, user behavior data analysis, and continuous experimentation
• Contribute to building a strong product culture, vision, and product thinking across the organization
• Champion Impact Driven Prioritization and experimentation-driven execution across product initiatives
• Bring fresh perspectives to Travala's products while creating efficient workflows and improving user-centered practices
• Partner with other product managers and engineers to balance user goals with business objectives
• Build and improve Travala's new and existing products and features through the full design process, from discovery and design reviews through to delivery and impact measurement
• Manage and contribute towards marketing workflows, understanding needs including creatives, landing pages, and email designs
• Collaborate and communicate effectively within cross-functional teams spanning product, engineering, customer support, and marketing
• Familiarize yourself with and champion the concepts of the crypto ecosystem, including user preferences, crypto payment networks, exchanges, and wallets

What you bring

• 5+ years of professional experience in Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Management, or similar product-focused roles
• An AI-first mindset: you actively use AI tools in your day-to-day work to improve productivity, research, analysis, documentation, and problem-solving, and you stay curious about AI developments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand business and customer problems, break them down logically, and translate them into clear requirements
• Proven experience gathering and analyzing requirements and translating them into clear, concise, and actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
• A good understanding of the product development lifecycle and software development processes, with the ability to work effectively with engineering teams and understand technical concepts and system dependencies
• Hands-on experience working in Agile product teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, prioritization, stand-ups, and delivery
• The ability to work effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and business stakeholders, ensuring requirements and expectations are clearly understood and aligned
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas and requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• A strong sense of ownership with the ability to manage multiple priorities, identify potential issues early, and ensure requirements are complete and actionable throughout the development process
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities, technologies, and product requirements can evolve quickly

Nice to have

• A genuine passion for travel and/or crypto, with curiosity about the travel industry, crypto, Web3, or the intersection of technology and travel
• Previous experience working with an OTA, travel marketplace, airline, hotel platform, or another travel technology business
• Exposure to crypto products, payments, wallets, blockchain, or other Web3 technologies
• Experience working on AI-powered products, AI agents, automation workflows, LLM-based applications, or integrating AI capabilities into existing products
• Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence and maintaining clear product and technical documentation
