Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at OKX, you build and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers a leading crypto exchange and developer of OKX Wallet. You own the systems that drive safety, health, and uptime of the platform, and enable development teams to scale and maintain service level commitments. Your work will focus on pushing innovative infrastructure implementations that have a tremendous impact on platform stability and scalability.

What you'll do

• Maintain and configure AWS products and services, including research, architecture, and implementation of solutions based on AWS infrastructure
• Manage daily maintenance of AWS cloud environments across the organization
• Support deployment, maintenance, and scaling of big data and machine learning platforms such as Databricks, AWS SageMaker, and Aliyun DSW to enable data processing and model training workflows
• Own the Databricks platform on AWS end to end: workspace provisioning, account and workspace configuration, cluster policies, instance pools, and SQL warehouses, managed as code via the Databricks Terraform provider
• Monitor and optimize Databricks cost and performance, including cluster sizing, autoscaling, Photon and serverless adoption, DBU usage tracking via system tables, and job reliability tuning
• Automate provisioning, scaling, and configuration of infrastructure resources using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
• Assist the team in troubleshooting and resolving production database issues during incidents
• Monitor company services and respond to alerts in a timely manner to ensure service stability and uptime
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features
• Design, build, and maintain internal platforms and tooling to improve operational efficiency and support unified multi-cloud management across AWS, Alibaba Cloud, and other providers

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related domain, with over 6 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, DBA, or related positions
• Proficiency in AWS distributed management, large-scale clustering, fault tolerance, backup, load balancing, and related technologies
• Deep understanding of high availability architecture, capacity planning, and rich experience handling complex problems
• Solid Linux platform operation, maintenance, and debugging capabilities, including proficiency in troubleshooting, configuration tuning, and performance analysis
• Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management
• Familiarity with core AWS products and practical experience in deployment and tuning of EC2, EKS, VPC, and big data products
• Experience with microservices architecture, including deployment, scaling, and maintenance
• Experience in monitoring, operations, and management of AWS large-scale servers and containers
• Hands-on experience with big data and machine learning platforms such as Databricks, AWS SageMaker, or Aliyun DSW, including supporting data pipelines, notebook environments, and model training and deployment workflows
• Familiarity with deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Nginx, Kong, and similar software
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or shell scripting for development
• Strong engineering skills and proficiency in at least one infrastructure sub-area such as public cloud networking, SRE, DevOps, or cloud-native technologies
• Experience with internal developer platforms and proficiency in AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Codex to improve engineering efficiency
• Excellent business analysis, system architecture, and problem-solving abilities with strong self-drive

Nice to have

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin
• Familiarity with operation and maintenance management of Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud, Microsoft Cloud, and other cloud providers
• Working knowledge of Terraform or similar infrastructure as code tools
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and NoSQL or big-data storage systems such as Redis, MongoDB, or HBase
