As a Senior Node.js Software Engineer at Tether, you will develop and maintain the P2P stack and expand the ecosystem of over 1500 public npm modules. You join a team working on reserve-backed tokens and peer-to-peer technology, contributing to a robust, modular codebase that powers global financial infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain the P2P stack
• Expand and improve the ecosystem of over 1500 public npm modules
• Write modular, maintainable code for production-scale applications
• Create and manage reusable npm modules
• Test and debug code to ensure quality and reliability

What you bring

• Proven experience in Node.js development with production-scale applications
• Strong competency in writing modular, maintainable code
• Experience creating and managing reusable npm modules
• Solid skillset in testing and debugging
• Deep interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems
• Comfort working in a remote, globally distributed team with good communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with native Node.js extensions (C/C++), or binding JavaScript to lower-level code
• Demonstrated ability to optimize network protocols or systems for latency, throughput, and other performance metrics
• Familiarity with advanced networking concepts
• Past contributions to open-source projects, especially in P2P or decentralized technology
