Senior Product Manager - Social Experience

As a Senior Product Manager for Social Experience at Kraken, you'll design and ship social features that connect investors and traders. Kraken, founded in 2011, is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions. You'll own the complete product vision: identifying which customer problems to solve, what to build first, and how to measure whether the experience improved. You should be comfortable designing flows yourself, building interactive prototypes, and working through interaction details with designers and engineers.

What you'll do

• Design complete social journeys that help users discover people, follow them, share ideas or trades, receive responses, and return to the platform
• Work through interaction details including navigation, information hierarchy, copy, defaults, gestures, and feedback across all states (empty feeds, failed posts, slow loading, user changes of mind)
• Build interactive prototypes using Figma, code, AI tools, or combinations thereof to communicate intended behavior before engineering commits to a build
• Apply psychological principles to understand why people hesitate to post, seek recognition, follow strangers, or respond to others, translating these insights into decisions about audience visibility, prompts, reputation, and contribution effort
• Conduct usability sessions and analyze funnel data to identify where users misunderstand the product, lose confidence, or abandon actions
• Design for both first use and repeated use, making the experience useful before users have connections and keeping sharing lightweight during active trading
• Connect design decisions to measurable outcomes by defining expected behavior, tracking task completion, abandonment, first follows, first contributions, responses, and retention, and working with data science to evaluate experiments
• Take the experience through launch by choosing a focused initial scope, resolving trade-offs with engineering, reviewing implementation against the intended design, and using post-launch evidence to prioritize improvements

What you bring

• A portfolio demonstrating your contribution to shipped consumer social experiences such as feeds, profiles, sharing, messaging, discovery, or communities, with evidence of how the experience changed after launch
• Strong interaction design craft, able to explain why a flow is structured a particular way, what users will notice first, and which decisions or steps can be removed
• The ability to build realistic interactive prototypes including transitions, empty states, and failure states
• User research experience that has challenged your assumptions and changed a design
• Product ownership skills, including the ability to prioritize problems, define success, interpret funnel and cohort data, and determine whether experiments produced meaningful improvements
• An understanding of social finance, accounting for how credibility, incentives, reputation, and visibility of financial activity affect what people trust and choose to share
