Senior Revenue Accountant

As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Paxos, you'll own key parts of the monthly revenue close for a company rebuilding financial infrastructure through blockchain technology. You'll prepare and review accruals and journal entries, reconcile billing and revenue data, apply ASC 606 to customer arrangements, and help scale revenue processes through automation. You'll work closely with Product, Sales, Treasury, Strategic Finance and Operations to support accurate, timely revenue reporting as Paxos grows.

What you'll do

• Prepare and review monthly revenue accruals, journal entries and supporting schedules as part of month-end close
• Reconcile billing, invoicing and revenue data across systems and resolve variances
• Support review of customer contracts and apply ASC 606 to determine the right revenue treatment
• Prepare revenue flux analysis and explain month-over-month changes
• Support external audit requests and prepare revenue-related workpapers
• Help maintain revenue accounting policies, process documentation and internal controls
• Identify manual processes and help redesign them for scale, including through automation and AI tools
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand new products and pricing and their accounting impact
• Immerse yourself in blockchain technology, stablecoins and enterprise crypto infrastructure, and in the regulation-first approach
• For applicants with fewer than 4 years of relevant work experience, this role is hybrid and based in the New York City Midtown office with in-office attendance required

What you bring

• 3+ years of combined experience in public accounting (audit) and/or in-house accounting, with a focus on revenue
• Hands-on experience applying ASC 606, including variable consideration, minimums and usage-based fees
• A bachelor's degree in accounting and strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Month-end close experience in NetSuite or another major ERP
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills, with experience building or maintaining reconciliation and accrual workbooks
• Experience using AI tools to improve accuracy or efficiency in accounting work
• Excellent organizational, communication and cross-functional skills

• A CPA or progress toward one
• Experience in fintech, financial services or a high-growth company
