Senior Visual Designer

As a Senior Visual Designer at OKX, you'll shape how the crypto exchange and OKX Wallet look and feel across every product surface, including mobile and web. You join the Visual System Team, working at the intersection of brand expression and product design to craft visual experiences that feel distinctive, coherent, and trusted by millions of users. You'll be involved early in feature conception, not simply applying a visual layer to finished wireframes, and you'll contribute to scalable visual frameworks that raise quality across the entire product ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Design product visual experiences across trading, wallet, payments, and social features, owning the visual execution from concept through pixel-perfect delivery while balancing beauty with clarity in a domain where trust and usability are non-negotiable.
• Contribute to OKX's visual systems including shared illustration styles, motion tokens, color systems, iconography, layout patterns, UI components, and design tokens, strengthening the system through reusable, scalable assets and patterns.
• Bridge brand and product by translating brand direction into in-product visual experiences, working with the Brand Design team to ensure consistency from marketing to core product while adapting thoughtfully to product goals and user needs.
• Design product campaigns and key moments, creating engaging visual experiences for in-product launches and feature moments that feel distinctive while remaining native to the product and aligned with the brand.
• Integrate AI tools into your design workflow, actively using generative tools for ideation, exploration, variation, prototyping, and asset production, experimenting with AI-assisted workflows as a core part of how you work.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure visual design decisions are grounded in user needs and technically feasible, participating in design reviews and communicating your rationale clearly.
• Pitch and present creative concepts to team leads and stakeholders, articulating the reasoning behind visual choices and why they solve for the user and the brand.

What you bring

• 4-6 years of experience in visual design, UI design, brand team roles, or related disciplines, with a portfolio demonstrating strong craft, modern taste, and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to take product experiences from wireframes to polished, production-ready UI, understanding how visual design supports usability, hierarchy, trust, and measurable outcomes.
• Strong UI and digital design fundamentals across product, responsive web, and mobile experiences, with mobile-first expertise essential.
• Exceptional visual craft across typography, color, composition, layout, interaction, and detail, with a clear point of view and thoughtful design decisions.
• Experience creating or contributing to scalable design systems, understanding tokens, components, patterns, and how to create coherent visual language across products.
• Comfort working at the intersection of brand and product, translating brand direction into experiences that meet user and business needs while leaving room for distinctive product expression.
• AI-forward practice where you actively use generative tools for ideation, exploration, prototyping, and production, using AI with strong creative judgment and looking for ways to make visual work more scalable.
• Clear, collaborative communication skills to articulate design rationale and work effectively with product designers, engineers, product managers, and Brand Design teams.
• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools, with the ability to communicate interaction and motion intent through high-fidelity prototypes.

Nice to have

• Experience creating light animation.
• Experience with 3D software or a genuine willingness to learn.
• Experience designing for fintech, crypto, or trading platforms and understanding the visual language of trust, precision, and data density.
• Strong illustration and interaction design skills where you can create original visual assets, not just compose them.
• Familiarity with how visual design integrates with front-end implementation, including CSS, design tokens, and component architecture.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams across offices and time zones.
