Specialist, Market Operations

As a Specialist, Market Operations at Coinbase, you provide frontline operational support across two exchanges: the Coinbase Derivatives Exchange (CDE) and Deribit. This team runs 24/7, keeping trading, clearing, and connectivity systems healthy for clients and internal stakeholders. You'll troubleshoot issues in real time, coordinate cross-functional resolution for complex problems, and execute deployment testing to protect production environments.

What you'll do

• Own real-time functional and technical support for electronic trading, clearing systems, and exchange applications across CDE and Deribit
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to exchange functionality, market events, connectivity, product schedules, and business technology
• Provide front-line support for internal and external investigations tied to exchange operations, including error trade analysis and resolution
• Coordinate with product and development teams to launch new products, implement platform updates, and execute deployment testing in pre-production environments
• Support onboarding and ongoing operational enablement of clients and vendors across both exchanges, including prediction markets and event contracts listed on CDE
• Identify, document, and recommend operational process improvements aligned with business objectives and platform growth

What you bring

• A BA/BS in Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or a technical field, with 1+ years of experience in financial markets operations or a technical operations role
• Demonstrated product and operational knowledge of listed futures or options, including hands-on experience with error trade analysis and resolution
• Proven ability to diagnose and articulate complex technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience delivering multi-channel support via voice, email, and chat, with a documented ability to maintain quality under high-volume, time-sensitive conditions
• The ability to utilize generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality

Nice to have

• Familiarity with prediction markets, event contracts, FIX protocol, network protocols, SQL, or CRM tools such as Salesforce and JIRA

What we offer

• Annual base salary of $112,965-$132,900 USD, which varies by location
• Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility
