What operations roles in crypto pay
36 salaries · our own dataMost operations roles in crypto pay between $83k and $217k, with a median of $145k.
As a Trade Operations Manager at Staking Facilities, you own the day-to-day operations of a new proprietary crypto trading desk. You sit close to the trading and engineering teams, report directly to the Head of Trading, and keep the entire trade lifecycle running with speed and precision. You'll turn a startup setup into scaled operations as capital under management grows to multiple million euros, responding fast when something breaks and owning the details that make the desk run.
What you'll do
- Run the full trade lifecycle day to day: order execution monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting
- Own daily reconciliation across venues, custodians, and wallets, keeping records clean and current
- Monitor execution in real time to spot bad fills, routing problems, stale quotes, and slippage, and get them fixed fast
- Build and maintain the operational tools and workflows that keep trading activity running smoothly
- Own the incident runbook: when something breaks (a trading error, a venue outage, etc.), you are first responder and drive it to resolution
- Track incidents, find root causes, and work with the engineering team to prevent recurrence
- Keep the desk resilient through monitoring, alerting, and clear escalation paths
- Improve operational processes continuously to cut errors, reduce manual work, and free traders from bottlenecks
- Produce clean operational reporting and KPI tracking for the Head of Trading
- Support coordination with exchanges, custodians, and other external operational partners
- Monitor risk exposures and trading limits day to day, flag breaches immediately, and operate the controls and reporting the desk relies on
What you bring
- Experience in trading operations, trade support, middle/back office, or a related operational function in digital assets or traditional finance
- A hands-on mindset: you build and fix things yourself and are comfortable in a lean, non-hierarchical setup without direct reports
- A sharp eye for detail under time pressure, especially with reconciliation and execution anomalies
- Technical fluency: comfortable with Excel and SQL, and able to read or write basic scripts to automate operational work
- The ability to stay calm and think clearly when something breaks in production
- Strong communication and organizational skills to run processes and keep people informed
- A keen interest in blockchain, crypto, and DeFi
What we offer
- Flexible working arrangements and the option to work remotely within European timezones
- 30 days of paid vacation
- Paid leave of up to five days per year for voluntary or honorary activities
- Support for furthering your self-development, skills, and career
