As a Trader at FalconX, you join a leading market-making firm focused on providing liquidity across rapidly evolving cryptocurrency markets. You'll trade and manage positions across crypto spot and derivatives markets while coordinating with global trading teams to maintain 24/7 market coverage. This is a full-time, in-person role based in New York, covering trading operations Saturday through Wednesday. Following a successful 18-month term, this role is expected to transition to a Monday-Friday full-time trading position.
What you'll do
- Trade and manage positions across various crypto spot and derivatives markets
- Coordinate closely with global trading teams to maintain seamless 24/7 market coverage
- Ensure accurate trade capture and quality data flow in risk systems
- Execute and maintain up-to-date position reconciliation with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
- Compile and analyze metrics for trading performance
- Work closely with accounting and operations teams to ensure record accuracy and investigate discrepancies in a timely manner
What you bring
- A bachelor's degree
- 1-4 years of experience in trading or trading support at a bank, proprietary trading firm, or market-making firm
- A basic understanding of options theory and Greek risks
- Strong interest in crypto and macroeconomic markets
- Personal experience using various blockchain protocols and understanding of crypto liquidity conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Crypto trading or crypto market experience
- Coding skills in Python or SQL
