Account Manager (Visayas) - Local Payments

As an Account Manager in Visayas at Coins.ph, you grow our merchant network across the region by identifying, onboarding, and supporting businesses onto our payment services. You'll work with the Philippines' most established crypto brand, now fully regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and trusted by over 18 million users, to expand adoption of POS terminals, QR payments, and e-wallets.

What you'll do

• Identify, approach, and onboard new merchants across various industries onto our payment services including POS terminals, QR payments, and e-wallets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing merchants in Cebu and the surrounding area to drive usage, retention, and satisfaction.
• Negotiate merchant discount rates, commercial terms, and service agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams in product, tech, and operations to support smooth onboarding and integration.
• Serve as the main point of contact for merchant queries, support, and escalations.
• Monitor account and portfolio performance, track transaction volumes, and identify growth opportunities within your territory.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs in the payments and fintech space.
• Represent the company at local merchant and industry events across Cebu and the Visayas as needed.

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in merchant acquisition, business development, or account management, preferably in fintech, banking, payments, or e-commerce.
• Proven experience closing deals and managing a high-volume portfolio.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• A customer-focused mindset with a strong drive to exceed targets and KPIs.
• Self-starter qualities with strong organizational and time management skills, comfortable working with autonomy in a regional territory.
• Ability to coordinate with international partners and stakeholders.
• A proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback.
• Willingness to travel within Cebu and the Visayas for merchant visits.

Nice to have

• Based in Cebu or willing to relocate.
• Familiarity with the local merchant landscape.
