AI Development Engineer Intern

As an AI Development Engineer Intern at Bybit, you work on real AI features across the full stack, from gateway routing and MCP servers to agent workflows and user-facing products. You join a team building AI infrastructure for one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges, serving over 80 million users.

What you'll do

• Ship features on either side of the stack: gateway routing, MCP servers, agent workflows, knowledge base, or user-facing AI features
• Build evals that prove a prompt or retrieval change actually helped before it reaches users
• Prototype in days, then add the tests and logging that let it run unattended in production
• Pull adoption, cost, and quality data, and report what you find, including when it contradicts the story
• Talk to the people using what you build, internal or external; use their feedback to shape the roadmap

What you bring

• Built something real with LLM APIs: prompting, streaming, tool calling, failure handling
• Proficiency with Git, tests, and debugging to root cause instead of guessing
• SQL and enough data sense to spot an outlier skewing an average

Nice to have

• Experience with agent frameworks or MCP
• Daily use of coding agents such as Claude Code or Cursor
