AML Team Lead（Crypto/Remote)

As an AML Team Lead at this global digital asset platform, you lead international Know Your Customer (KYC) operations and transaction-monitoring investigations to strengthen compliance controls across multiple markets. Your role bridges KYC execution and investigation judgment, raising consistency in customer onboarding decisions and suspicious-activity detection while coaching your team and driving process improvements based on control insights.

What you'll do

• Lead the daily delivery of an international KYC team, setting priorities, reviewing work quality, managing escalations, coaching team members, and reinforcing secure handling of customer and case information.
• Personally investigate transaction-monitoring alerts and cases, document the evidence, and make defensible closure or escalation recommendations under established policies.
• Track KYC quality, throughput, backlog, and recurring error patterns, then turn the findings into targeted coaching and process improvements.
• Analyse KYC and transaction-monitoring case trends to recommend improvements to monitoring rules, review controls, and investigation workflows.
• Work with compliance, risk, operations, and technology partners across markets to resolve complex cases, assign clear actions, and carry agreed control improvements through implementation.

What you bring

• A bachelor's degree or above, with direct experience owning KYC operations including work allocation, case quality review, investigator coaching, handling sensitive escalations, and protecting confidential case information.
• Independent transaction-monitoring alert and case investigation experience, with evidence handling and well-supported closure or escalation recommendations.
• The ability to translate KYC and transaction-monitoring trends into practical improvements to controls, rules, coaching, or workflows, and to measure whether those changes work.
• Clear English communication across markets and the ability to align compliance, risk, operations, and technology partners around case resolution, ownership, and implementation while maintaining sound judgment as volumes or priorities shift.

Nice to have

• Exposure to digital assets or blockchain analytics in an international business.
• A relevant credential such as CAMS or Chainalysis Reactor certification.
• Chinese communication skills.
