Associate Account Manager

As an Associate Account Manager at Rain, you own renewals and expansions for a set of live stablecoin payment partners. You become the primary contact for your accounts once they launch, managing everything from renewal conversations and commercial discussions to product expansions across Rain's card issuing, virtual accounts, on/offramps, wallets, and cross-border payment offerings. You join the Platform team, which manages all partner activity after implementation, and you'll grow your net revenue retention by identifying expansion opportunities and resolving partner escalations that sit outside standard support.

What you'll do

• Own renewals for live partners from initial conversation through signed paperwork
• Identify and close expansion opportunities in your accounts, including new products (cards, virtual accounts, on/offramps, wallets, cross-border payments), additional card programs, and entry into new regions
• Grow net revenue retention for your coverage area and flag churn or contraction risk early
• Handle partner escalations outside Support, addressing questions about the partnership, program configuration, commercial terms, and products, and bringing in Product, Engineering, Finance, or Compliance as needed
• Maintain detailed account health notes and build a health snapshot to guide where you spend your time
• Pass partner feedback to Product to help shape the roadmap
• Help write and improve Account Management playbooks, including expansion playbooks for new products and features
• Learn Rain's products in depth, including stablecoin card issuing, card network basics, and the company's APIs

What you bring

• 0 to 3 years of experience in account management, as an account executive, or in customer success, in fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS
• Comfort discussing renewals, pricing, and commercial terms with partners, and confidence in pursuing expansion opportunities
• Clear written and verbal communication in calls, email, and shared Slack channels with partners
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and follow-ups simultaneously
• Curiosity about how payments work (card issuing, authorization, settlement) and about stablecoins, plus willingness to learn technical topics including API documentation
• Ownership mindset: you see partner issues through to resolution, even when multiple teams are involved
• Comfort working in a fast-growing company environment

Nice to have

• Exposure to card issuing, embedded finance, crypto, or stablecoins
• Experience working toward a renewal, upsell, or expansion target
