Associate, Private Equity/Venture Capital

As an Associate in Private Equity/Venture Capital at Securitize, you'll support fund accounting operations for tokenized real-world assets. Securitize is the leader in bringing on-chain infrastructure to institutional asset managers, with $3.7B+ AUM and partnerships with top-tier firms like Apollo, BlackRock, Hamilton Lane, and KKR. You'll join a global, fully remote team working across fund lifecycle accounting for Private Equity and Venture Capital funds.

What you'll do

• Prepare and maintain accounting data for approximately 10-20 client engagements
• Ensure all client deliverables are prepared accurately and delivered on time
• Reconcile portfolio and cash activity to source data
• Accrue fund expenses timely and in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and review investor allocations to ensure fees and allocations are booked accurately
• Prepare quarterly net asset value reporting for client engagements
• Calculate and prepare capital calls and distributions for client engagements
• Draft annual financial statements and coordinate year-end audits with clients and independent auditors
• Work with the treasury team to initiate wire transfers for clients
• Correspond with clients daily and answer requests in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate time logs and efficient work standards to ensure engagement profitability
• Identify and track inefficiencies caused by client issues or other matters, and communicate challenges
• Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all interactions with clients and firm colleagues

What you bring

• 3+ years in fund accounting, public accounting, or a similar role focused on closed-end private investment funds
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a professional demeanor and proven success working with clients and teams
• Practical experience working with cryptocurrency assets

• CPA, CFA, or MBA credentials
