Customer Service & Operations Associate

As a Customer Service & Operations Associate at Coin Nerds, you help customers complete cryptocurrency, foreign exchange, and money transfer transactions safely and confidently. Based in Mississauga, Ontario, you join a team committed to making financial services more accessible through real people and real-world support. You do not need to be a cryptocurrency expert-we provide training. What matters most is professionalism, reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

What you'll do

• Assist customers with cryptocurrency, foreign exchange, and money transfer transactions
• Deliver a welcoming, professional, and customer-first experience
• Handle cash and financial transactions accurately and responsibly
• Verify transaction information and maintain proper documentation
• Support day-to-day storefront operations and administrative tasks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
• Help customers understand our services and answer general questions
• Follow company policies, compliance procedures, and operational standards
• Provide dependable shift coverage and contribute to a positive team environment
• Support sales efforts by upselling relevant products or services aligned with customer needs
• Collaborate with team members to streamline operations, improve service delivery, and enhance overall customer satisfaction
• Stay informed on industry trends related to cryptocurrency and currency exchange to provide knowledgeable assistance

What you bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Not currently enrolled as a student
• Ability to reliably commute to our Mississauga location
• Willingness to complete a background check
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfort handling cash and financial transactions
• Basic math proficiency and confidence working with numbers
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Reliability, punctuality, and accountability
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn new systems and technologies
• English language proficiency (required)

Nice to have

• Retail or customer service experience
• Cash handling, banking, financial services, or currency exchange experience
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency or digital assets
• Experience using Discord in a community or business environment
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-focused industries
• Proven experience in sales or upselling techniques within a customer service environment
• Multilingual abilities, particularly fluency in English, Arabic, Farsi, Pashto, and Urdu

What we offer

• Pay of $19.00 to $25.00 per hour
