Head of Business Development, Latin America

As Head of Business Development for Latin America at TetraFi, you will build the company's presence in the region from zero and own the partners, corridors and first flow. TetraFi is a neutral execution and settlement network for stablecoins, applying the CLS model to digital dollars. Latin America is where stablecoin settlement already does real work in dollarised economies, remittances, B2B FX and payroll flows, yet almost all of it still settles gross and prefunded. You will close that gap.

What you'll do

• Own the Latin America pipeline end to end: target list, outreach, intro calls, historical-flow modelling under NDA, founding addendum, integration and go-live
• Sign execution liquidity providers, corridor liquidity providers and two-way partners in priority corridors, and set the corridor order with the founders and product team
• Launch and scale the first working-capital facility with its origination partner and capital provider: structure confirmed, underwriting and reserve policy agreed, and each staged deployment gate met
• Build the local fiat layer: licensed on- and off-ramp partners, banks and custodians for local-currency settlement and payouts
• Bring regional demand into the netting roadmap: which corridors, which counterparties, and how much of their flow runs both ways
• Represent TetraFi in the region with partners' senior management, at industry events and, where needed, with regulators and licensed partners
• Report weekly on pipeline, contracted demand, utilisation and corridor readiness
• Hire and lead the regional team as the business grows

What you bring

• 3+ years in institutional business development or sales in cross-border payments, FX, prime brokerage, or stablecoin and crypto infrastructure, with at least 4 of those years selling into Latin America
• A live network across OTC desks and market makers, stablecoin ramps, B2B payment and remittance companies, payroll and lending platforms, and banks and licensed fiat partners in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and other dollarised markets
• The ability to explain settlement risk, payment-versus-payment, prefunding and netting to a treasurer, and the economics of a secured working-capital facility to a credit committee
• A proven track record closing complex, multi-party deals from first call to live flow on indicative terms for a company nobody had heard of yet
• Fluency in Spanish and English, and Portuguese
• Based in Latin America, with regular travel capacity across the region
• Comfort with pre-seed reality: a small team, no playbook, and equity that matters

Nice to have

• Time on an OTC desk or at an exchange, prime broker or market maker
• Working knowledge of KYB/KYC, sanctions and travel-rule requirements across the region's jurisdictions
• Relationships with stablecoin issuers and capital providers active in the region
