Head of U.S. Derivatives Trading Technology

As Head of U.S. Derivatives Trading Technology at OKX, you will design and deliver the technology stack connecting customers to a regulated US derivatives market. You report to OKX Core Trading Product Management leadership with a dotted line to the CEO and COO of the local entity. This role demands an architect and strategist who can make technology, operational, and build-versus-buy decisions independently, not simply implement pre-determined vendor choices.

What you'll do

• Design the end-to-end US derivatives trading architecture
• Lead the selection of the clearing FCM, OMS and market-access providers
• Decide between vendor-provided, direct-exchange and hybrid connectivity models
• Define the long-term build-versus-buy roadmap
• Lead internal and vendor integrations across OMS, margin, liquidation, funding, UI, and KYC
• Lead exchange connectivity, certification and production readiness
• Define pre-trade risk, kill-switch, drop-copy and reconciliation requirements
• Establish 24/7 monitoring, incident response and disaster recovery
• Own vendor technical diligence, contracts, SLAs and delivery
• Recruit and lead the US trading-technology team

What you bring

• 10-15+ years in electronic trading or capital-markets technology
• Deep knowledge of listed derivatives and US futures market structure
• Experience with OMS, FIX, exchange connectivity, market data and pre-trade risk
• Prior experience working at an FCM (required)
• Understanding of the complete execution, clearing and settlement lifecycle
• A track record delivering mission-critical trading platforms
• Ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into technical architecture
• Strong leadership across engineering, product, risk, compliance and operations

Nice to have

• Futures execution technology background at a bank or FCM
• Experience at an exchange or clearinghouse
• Background at an OMS or market-access technology provider
• Experience at a futures-native brokerage or regulated digital-asset platform
