Internal Communications Manager

As an Internal Communications Manager at Coinbase, you shape the employee experience and reinforce the company's mission, strategy, and culture. You report to the Director of Internal Communications and serve as a strategic communications partner to executive and senior leaders, ensuring best-in-class internal communications in an AI-native company.

What you'll do

• Own complex communications plans from strategy and planning through execution and analysis
• Advise leaders and partners with a deep understanding of company mission, strategy, culture, and team dynamics
• Support and execute team-wide and company-wide events, including drafting presentations and talking points, advising on event flow and structure, and preparing speakers
• Proactively identify opportunities and build systems, including AI-enabled tools and workflows, that uplevel and scale internal communications across a globally distributed, remote workforce
• Measure communications effectiveness using data, feedback, and experimentation to drive continuous improvements
• Partner with Internal and External Communications teammates and cross-functional partners to support proactive and reactive communications and coordinate internal issues and change management

What you bring

• 7+ years of experience in internal, external, or corporate communications, media, journalism, product marketing, or another writing-intensive role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a consistent focus on clarity and brevity
• Experience partnering with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders on communications initiatives, with demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and adapt your work style accordingly
• Demonstrated ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots in daily workflows, maintain human oversight, and deliver business-ready outputs that improve efficiency, cost, or quality
• Resilience and composure in the face of organizational change, shifting priorities, and communication with a highly distributed or remote workforce
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize multiple workstreams, move between strategy and hands-on execution, balance speed and quality, and develop fluency in crypto
• Ability to both generate ideas and proactively implement them
• Ability to balance speed and quality with an acute sense for what matters most in a given moment

What we offer

• Base salary of $170,765-$200,900 USD, varying by location
