As a Japan GTM Lead for a leading global Layer 1 blockchain ecosystem, you drive business development, ecosystem growth initiatives, and full market entry into Japan. The company focuses on high-speed, low-cost decentralized applications and is expanding its foundation in the Japanese market.
What you'll do
- Develop and drive Japan market entry strategy and identify opportunities with banking partners to adopt solutions across payments, DeFi, NFTs, gaming, stablecoins, and more
- Drive Web3 and blockchain product adoption initially with Japan's top banks, including partnerships with online banks, digital banks, crypto exchanges, and fintech partners
- Drive ecosystem and community engagements through crypto communities, venture capital firms, and accelerator programs
- Work closely with global teams across product, marketing, engineering, compliance, and legal
- Navigate Japan market expansion plans in accordance with changes in local regulations
What you bring
- 8-15 years of experience in sales and business development with banks or the financial services industry, ideally in crypto, Web3, or blockchain sectors, or alternatively in banking or fintech
- Strong strategic planning and analytics ability, with expertise executing growth-driven, full-funnel go-to-market strategies with a start-up mentality
- Strong knowledge of the blockchain and Web3 market in Japan, or demonstrated passion and interest in this field
- Professional fluency in both English and Japanese, with a deep network and understanding of cultural norms in Japan
