Lightning Developer Evangelist (Remote)

As a Lightning Developer Evangelist at Lightning Labs, you grow and connect with the global Lightning developer community to bring bitcoin and the Lightning Network to the next billion people. You focus on community engagement, developer experience, and business development, working with application builders, routing node operators, protocol developers, and potential customers worldwide.

What you'll do

• Embed yourself in the global Lightning developer community, from application builders to routing node operators to protocol developers, and understand their priorities and how Lightning Labs can help
• Attract new developers to the Lightning Network by creating projects that explore what can be built, highlighting community projects, and organizing opportunities for new developers to get involved
• Organize developer and community calls to communicate the latest updates from Lightning Labs and help the product and engineering teams incorporate external feedback
• Source new potential customers, from Lightning-first developers to bitcoin technical teams seeking to add Lightning support, to existing companies wanting to integrate Lightning into their products
• Support existing customers as a point of contact for software issues, explain new features and their business-related impacts, and help developers understand upgrade benefits
• Understand developers' business goals and connect them with ecosystem participants that will help them succeed

• Excellent communication skills both externally about Lightning Labs's developer tools and internally about learnings from community discussions

Nice to have

• A track record of open source contributions or public application development
• Experience presenting developer-focused content at conferences or meetups
