Merchandising Operations Manager - Surface, OG

As a Merchandising Operations Manager at OG.com, you own how prediction markets are presented on the platform's surface. You are the directly responsible individual (DRI) for the homepage, discovery modules, featured market placement, and packaged offerings across OG's web and mobile apps. You'll operate with independence and speed, making real-time merchandising decisions during live events and building the operational foundation that converts casual visitors into active traders.

What you'll do

• Own the merchandised surface end-to-end, deciding what sits in hero slots, what rotates, and what never makes the cut across OG web and mobile, with final sign-off on all commercial quality
• Build and rotate packaged, high-intent merchandise tied to real narratives (parlay and SGP analogs on event contracts), making go/no-go calls on what ships to each module
• Run live merchandising during major events, swapping surfaces in real time, partnering with Trading and Risk when odds or inventory shift, and maintaining speed without errors
• Own the merchandising calendar against sports, politics, culture, and marketing moments to ensure launches aren't surprises to the homepage, and flag coverage gaps to Market Ops before stories peak
• Prioritize, QA, and read merchandising A/B and multi-arm tests with Product and Data, knowing when tests are invalid and instrumenting your own funnel metrics
• Monitor the competitive set and propose and ship responses independently
• Consume new market listings the moment they're live and feed unmet demand and broken-resolution UX signals back to Market Ops

What you bring

• Hands-on ownership of sportsbook or marketplace merchandising (modules, featured, packages) end-to-end, with proof of before/after impact on engagement or conversion
• Real experience operating on event time (nights, weekends, holidays), including rapid live swaps and re-featuring under pressure
• Data-informed decision making using SQL, dashboards, or analyst partnerships to decide feature placements, with ability to reverse calls based on numbers
• Run or partnership experience with A/B or multi-arm testing for merchandising or discovery, including the ability to identify and discard invalid tests
• Cross-functional DRI experience aligning Product, Trading/Risk, and Marketing without owning their charters, with proven ability to coordinate launches and adapt when partners slip
• Domain fluency in event contracts, odds, and prediction UX, or the ability to learn fast enough to debate power users

Nice to have

• MerchOps or sportsbook merchandising background with familiarity of modules, parlays, SGPs, and live swaps
• Prior prediction market or event-contract merchandising experience
• SQL proficiency or experimentation tooling experience
• Deep knowledge of sports, politics, or culture verticals
