As a Merchandising Operations Manager at OG.com, a CFTC-regulated prediction market platform, you own the complete merchandising surface. You decide what markets appear on the homepage and discovery modules, how they are packaged, and when they rotate, working directly with product and market operations to present live markets that convert users into traders.
What you'll do
- Own the merchandised surface end-to-end across OG web and mobile, deciding what sits in the hero slot, what rotates, and what never makes the cut, with sign-off on all commercial quality before launch.
- Build packaged, high-intent merchandise tied to real narratives, creating parlay-style packages on event contracts and making go/no-go calls on what ships to each module.
- Run live merchandise operations during major events, swapping surfaces in real time, partnering with Trading and Risk when odds or inventory shift, and keeping the surface clean through nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Connect the calendar to the product by owning the merchandise calendar against sports, politics, culture, and marketing moments, and flagging coverage gaps back to Market Ops before stories peak.
- Prioritize, QA, and read merchandise A/B and multi-arm tests with Product and Data, knowing when a test is invalid, turning winners into defaults, and cutting losers.
- Monitor the competitive set and ship responses directly, not just weekly screenshots.
- Consume new market listings the moment they go live and feed unmet demand and broken-resolution UX signals back to Market Ops.
What you bring
- End-to-end ownership of sportsbook or marketplace merchandising (modules, featured placement, packages) with a concrete before/after showing engagement or conversion impact.
- Demonstrated experience operating on event time (nights, weekends, holidays), with a specific example of killing, swapping, and re-featuring markets in minutes while maintaining surface quality.
- Data-informed decision making using SQL, dashboards, or partner analysts to drive feature choices, with the ability to walk through a merch call you reversed based on data.
- A/B and multi-arm test literacy from running or partnering on merch or discovery experiments, including understanding when a test is invalid.
- Cross-functional DRI capability to align Product, Trading/Risk, and Marketing without owning their charters, with a specific launch you coordinated and how you handled partner slip-ups.
- Domain fluency in event contracts, odds, and prediction UX, or demonstrated ruthless learning speed in new domains, backed by user research questions you ask.
Nice to have
- Merchandising operations or sportsbook merchandising background where you already speak modules, parlays/SGPs, and live swaps.
- Experience merchandising prediction markets or event contracts, not only traditional sportsbook lines.
- SQL and experimentation tooling proficiency so you move faster without waiting on dedicated analysts.
- Depth in sports, politics, or culture verticals so you already know which moments deserve the hero slot.
