Principal Product Manager - Compliance / AML / Risk Platform

As a Principal Product Manager for Compliance, AML, and Risk Platform at coins.ph, you own the product roadmap for the systems that keep the platform safe and compliant. You translate regulatory requirements from the BSP and AMLC into scalable product features, working across Compliance, Risk & Fraud Ops, Data Science, and Engineering to build and optimize AML/CFT, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, KYC/KYB onboarding, and fraud detection capabilities.

What you'll do

• Own the product roadmap for AML/CFT, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting (SAR/STR) systems
• Design and optimize risk scoring frameworks across onboarding and transaction lifecycle
• Partner with Compliance to translate BSP and AMLC regulations into scalable product features
• Build and improve KYC/KYB onboarding flows for individuals and businesses
• Optimize CDD/EDD processes, including document verification, liveness checks, and risk tiering
• Balance conversion and compliance by reducing friction without increasing risk
• Define and implement fraud detection strategies covering account takeover, scams, and mule accounts
• Collaborate with data teams to develop rules engines, alerting systems, and case management tools
• Improve real-time monitoring capabilities for transactions and user behavior
• Build internal tools for case management, investigation workflows, audit trails, and reporting
• Integrate with external vendors including KYC providers, blockchain analytics, and sanctions lists
• Act as the bridge between regulatory requirements and product implementation across Compliance, Risk & Fraud Ops, Data Science, and Engineering

What you bring

• 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in fintech, payments, or crypto
• Strong understanding of AML/CFT frameworks, KYC/KYB processes, and transaction monitoring
• Experience building or managing risk engines, fraud systems, or compliance platforms
• Familiarity with Philippines regulations (BSP and AMLC) or similar regulatory environments
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into scalable product solutions

Nice to have

• Experience in crypto, blockchain, or exchange platforms
• Knowledge of fraud typologies including scams, mule accounts, and phishing
• Knowledge of sanctions screening and travel rule requirements
• Experience with tools and vendors such as Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, Onfido, Sumsub, or Jumio
• Background in compliance, risk, or data analytics
