Product Management Intern (Winter 2027)

As a Product Management Intern at Gemini, you'll own real pieces of work from day one: real products, real users, real impact. You join a global crypto and Web3 platform at the intersection of product, data, and AI, working on the future of money and markets alongside engineers, data scientists, and operations teams. This semester-long internship runs from January to April 2027 with three days per week in person at our New York City office.

What you'll do

• Make AI a default part of how you work, using modern tools to move faster, think bigger, and raise the bar for the whole team
• Be data-driven in decision-making by running quantitative and qualitative user research, conducting competitive research and gap analysis, pulling and analyzing data from Databricks, and turning what you learn into clear, compelling recommendations for Engineering teams
• Support the full project lifecycle: help draft product requirements documents, provide design and development support, run user acceptance testing, and contribute to release planning (for example, you might help design requirements for Clarissa, our Secure SDLC bot, an automated change-management controls bot that runs on pull requests and their associated Linear tickets to keep compliance evidence auditable)
• Build cross-functional alignment by helping shape product vision, writing the requirements that get things built, and aligning engineering and back office/operations teams around a shared direction
• Ship things that matter by partnering with stakeholders on experiences people love and working with engineers to launch features into production, then tracking the metrics to see what worked

What you bring

• A relevant academic background: you are pursuing a Bachelor's, Associate's, or Master's degree in Computer Science, Interactive Design, Business, or a related field
• Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; you work easily across engineering, operations, data, and AI operations, and can run weekly project meetings with stakeholders to keep everyone aligned and drive toward a shared goal
• A bias for moving fast: you complete what can be done in five minutes right away, and for larger deliverables you leverage business instincts, hustle, and AI to deliver in days what might take weeks
• A structured problem-solving approach: you break big, ambiguous questions into orderly pieces, turning large projects into incremental milestones that keep teams moving and progress measurable
• A relentless growth mindset: you actively explore new ideas, seek out and act on feedback, and treat every project as a chance to get sharper
• Agility and adaptability: you quickly pick up and support new concepts and ideas, and ambiguity energizes you
• A user-focused mindset: you have real empathy for people's problems and an instinct for products that delight, holding a high bar for product quality and experiences that are easy to understand and use
• A foundation in data: you have a base-level understanding of data analysis and insights that you're keen to build on

Nice to have

• Technical fluency to hold your own with strong engineers (you don't need to code daily, but you should understand technical complexity, architectural decisions, and accompanying tradeoffs)
• Hands-on experience from a prior internship, a startup, a hackathon, a club you led, or a project where you actually built or researched something
• A passion for consumer-first technology
• Knowledge of and interest in cryptocurrencies, cryptography, and/or blockchain technology
• A track record of accomplishing things people said were hard

What we offer

• Hourly pay rate of $45/hour in New York, California, and Washington (compensation varies by factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data)
• Hybrid work approach at our New York City hub office, balancing in-person collaboration with remote work flexibility
