Public Relations & Communications Manager

As Manager of Pro Trading & Derivatives Communications at Kraken (Payward), you will lead and execute communications programs that advance the company's brand with professional traders, derivatives users, and institutional clients globally. You'll develop integrated external communications strategies aligned to Kraken's business goals and expand the company's thought leadership positioning across these key segments.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute an integrated external communications strategy aligned to Kraken's key business goals aimed at the pro trading, derivatives and institutional segments
• Build and expand Kraken's thought leadership positioning across professional and institutional client segments through unique storytelling approaches around trading products, risk management, and market infrastructure
• Develop and expand Kraken's bench of spokespeople in pro trading and derivatives, building out key strategic messaging at the executive, product and segment level that resonates with traders, fund managers and institutional decision-makers
• Prepare communications materials including company announcements, talking points, media statements, speaker submissions, pitches and briefing materials tailored to professional and institutional audiences
• Build connectivity with multiple stakeholders including institutional partners, trading desks, market data providers, the communications team and key external agencies serving the pro and institutional space
• Bring social media first thinking to media relations and content, with particular attention to platforms and channels where professional traders and institutions gather

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of proven experience leading and executing communications programs and initiatives
• Outstanding writing, editing and communications strategy skills, with the ability to translate complex topics and capture the views and voices of senior leaders
• Experience working with geographically dispersed workforces and managing complex communications challenges
• Experience working directly with executives to enhance executive presence, deliver strong messaging and improve presentation and interview skills
• A track record of success delivering high quality work in a fast paced environment
• Experience leading, mentoring and scaling communications teams
• Knowledge of and passion for the crypto industry
