Sales Leader for Local Payments

As a Sales Leader for Local Payments at coins.ph, you drive the business development strategy for payment services across the Philippines. You build and lead a high-performing team to acquire merchants, close strategic deals, and expand revenue in a market where coins.ph is the most established crypto brand, trusted by over 18 million users and regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute the overall business development strategy for payment services, with a focus on merchant acquisition and revenue growth
• Identify new market opportunities and build a pipeline of high-potential merchant and enterprise clients
• Establish strategic partnerships with merchants, payment aggregators, and ecosystem players
• Lead negotiations on commercial terms, including merchant discount rates (MDRs) and service level agreements
• Build and manage a high-performing BD team, setting clear targets and coaching team members to exceed KPIs
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Legal, and Marketing to deliver seamless merchant onboarding and account growth
• Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to continuously refine go-to-market strategies
• Represent the company in external meetings, industry events, and partner engagements

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably in fintech, payments, or financial services
• Strong understanding of the digital payments ecosystem, such as card acquiring, POS, QR, and e-wallets
• Demonstrated success leading sales teams, closing strategic deals, and driving market expansion
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
• Data-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, and client management within payments, crypto, fintech, or traditional finance
• Proven track record of generating leads and supporting client acquisition efforts
• Ability to coordinate with international partners and stakeholders

• Ability to speak and understand Mandarin Chinese
