Senior Engineer, Solana

At R3, you are building the on-ramp for the next trillion dollars of assets to move on-chain, bridging traditional finance and decentralized finance. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will build and ship production real-world asset (RWA) trading and lending infrastructure on Solana, working across the full stack from on-chain programs to the front ends that investors, traders, and integrators use. You will work on systems that move real capital: liquidity venues, lending markets, and market-making infrastructure. This is a hands-on role for someone who has shipped DeFi protocols on Solana and understands the operational realities of running them under load.

What you'll do

• Influence the design and development of the Corda Protocol RWA yield marketplace to scale it to a multichain, multi-curator future
• Design and build Solana programs in Rust and Anchor for vaults, order books, AMMs, lending markets, or related liquidity infrastructure
• Build the full stack around these programs: indexers, keepers/crankers, APIs, and React/TypeScript front ends that expose them to users and integrators
• Work directly on market-making and liquidity systems and the infrastructure that keeps venues liquid and solvent
• Participate in code review, threat modelling, and internal and external audits of new and existing programs
• Design, implement, and optimize SDKs that will power integration with centralized partners such as exchanges, wallets, and neobanks

What you bring

• Prior experience at a crypto-native or web3 engineering team, specifically working at a lending protocol, yield marketplace, vaults infrastructure, or similar marketplace that connected on-chain allocators to curated vaults
• Minimum 6 years in software development and 2 years of experience in Rust with meaningful production time on Solana
• Proven experience shipping and deploying Solana programs in Rust (Anchor or native), ideally in order book or AMM-style liquidity venues, lending/borrowing protocols, or market-making systems
• Full stack capability: you are comfortable owning on-chain program logic and the off-chain services and front end (TypeScript/React, Node) that surround it
• Solid understanding of Solana's account model, PDAs, CPI, transaction and compute limits, and the tradeoffs involved in high-throughput on-chain systems

Nice to have

• Experience owning architecture and delivery
• Experience with MPC wallets, custody, Squads, on-chain monitoring, or AML screening
• Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts, Kubernetes networking, Terraform, and PostgreSQL
• PKI and other cryptographic knowledge
• Experience supporting systems in production and investigating and diagnosing issues for internal or external customers
• Experience with Linux, shell scripting or other scripting languages, Linux command line tools, and TCP/IP networking
• Experience with Java or Kotlin
