As a Senior Technical Program Manager in Consumer at Coinbase, you'll lead high-priority, multi-quarter programs that span multiple product areas and engineering teams. You'll turn strategy into clear plans and ship high-quality features reliably and on time. Recent launches led by TPMs on this team include Equities, Prediction Markets, Derivatives, and Credit Card.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs from problem definition through launch and post-launch follow-up, ensuring scope, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics are defined and tracked.
- Drive the operating cadence for your programs, including kickoffs, status reviews, dashboards, and risk tracking, to keep teams aligned and accountable across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and business partners.
- Identify risks and cross-team dependencies proactively, drive mitigations, and escalate crisply when leadership decisions are needed.
- Partner with Engineering leads to evaluate technical trade-offs around reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability, ensuring architecture decisions support program goals.
- Translate product and business goals into executable program plans and define program-level KPIs that guide prioritization and decision-making.
What you bring
- 7+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Engineering leader, or in a similar role driving large technical programs in a high-growth consumer technology company.
- A proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives through significant ambiguity, tight timelines, and regulatory constraints, with demonstrated ability to drive programs independently from early framing through launch.
- Technical fluency in modern distributed systems sufficient to engage with Staff+ engineers on architecture, design trade-offs, and sequencing decisions.
- Experience defining program-level KPIs and using dashboards and data to guide prioritization, with a track record of influencing outcomes without direct authority across Product, Engineering, and business teams.
- Familiarity with trading, brokerage, payments, or other high-throughput fintech products, or with crypto, web3, or DeFi ecosystems.
- The ability to use generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
What we offer
- Annual base salary of $193,970-$228,200 USD, depending on location.
- Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility.
- Benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
- Remote-first work environment with quarterly in-person working sessions called surges.
