Software Engineer, Data

As a Software Engineer on the Data Feeds team at Chainlink Labs, you'll collaborate with experienced engineers, distributed systems experts, and security specialists to build scalable, secure, and reliable software that powers decentralized finance infrastructure. You'll develop features within the Data Product space, including trust-minimized off-chain computation and external data aggregation across multiple blockchain environments. Your work will directly impact the largest market share of DeFi by total value secured.

What you'll do

• Design and implement new features within the Data Product space, such as trust-minimized off-chain computation and aggregation of external data across various blockchain environments
• Design and own end-to-end delivery of new and existing data products that power the largest market share of DeFi by total value secured
• Build core products with smart contracts using Solidity, Move, and Rust
• Partner with the research team to build cutting-edge products
• Think creatively about attack vectors, possible failures, and disaster scenarios, modeling them in reproducible test environments and developing fixes
• Manage the architectural vision for new subsystems in the core Chainlink node
• Implement resilient distributed systems to achieve extremely high reliability across a variety of blockchain environments
• Learn about underlying technology across the blockchain ecosystem including Solana, Avalanche, Polygon, Ethereum, and more

What you bring

• At least 4-6+ years of professional software engineering experience in a collaborative, product-driven environment
• Experience in blockchain and Web 3.0 technologies
• Experience developing smart contracts that secured meaningful value on-chain
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals and systems design concepts
• Experience owning multi-month projects, including communicating progress, dependencies, and risk mitigation directly with stakeholders and partners
• Experience building distributed systems and low-latency systems
• B.S. or higher in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field

Nice to have

• Experience in Golang or other strongly-typed programming languages
• Experience working with a globally distributed team
• Experience working in or with market data
