Team Lead, Legal Response

As Team Lead for Legal Response at OKX, you lead a team handling law enforcement requests and regulatory matters. You manage daily operations, mentor team members, monitor performance metrics, and serve as the first-line escalation point for complex cases and stakeholder queries across Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Customer Service. You maintain standard operating procedures, drive process improvements, and act as a subject matter expert on law enforcement request handling.

What you'll do

• Lead your Legal Response team day-to-day: assign and triage incoming law enforcement requests, monitor SLA and quality performance, and step in on complex or time-sensitive cases
• Coach and develop team members through regular 1:1s, conduct weekly and monthly performance reviews, and flag performance or capacity issues to your Manager
• Act as first-line escalation point for law enforcement requests and internal stakeholder queries from Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Customer Service, resolving what you can and escalating with clear context
• Maintain and enforce SOPs for handling law enforcement and regulatory requests; surface process gaps or inefficiencies to your Manager with recommended fixes
• Own team-level metrics and reporting: SLA adherence, backlog aging, error rate, and volume trends using the team's data and reporting tools directly
• Serve as subject matter expert on law enforcement request handling for your team and adjacent functions
• Maintain working knowledge of OKX products sufficient to communicate credibly with external stakeholders such as law enforcement and legal representatives
• Plan team shift schedules to maintain 24x7 coverage and manage shrinkage against plan
• Coordinate with L&D on training and re-training needs identified through performance monitoring
• Lead or contribute to process improvement projects and workshops
• Participate in recruitment activities including screening and interviewing for the team
• Support your Manager on process improvements, projects, and cross-team initiatives as needed

What you bring

• A degree in law, compliance, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating critical thinking
• Prior experience leading or supervising a team, with comfort holding others accountable
• Comfort working with data: reading SLA, volume, and error dashboards and using them to make day-to-day team decisions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented, especially under time pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong people skills and ability to navigate difficult situations and stay calm under pressure
• Solutions mindset and passion to find the right solution and resolve issues
• Excellent time management and ability to multi-task while prioritising effectively
• Quick learner with ability to ramp up quickly and act on feedback constructively
• Willingness to work on a rotational shift to support 24x7 operations
• Willingness to work in Tun Razak Exchange, walking distance from MRT TRX
