Business Development & Partnerships Associate

Wintermute is one of the largest algorithmic trading companies in digital assets, providing liquidity algorithmically across major cryptocurrency exchanges, offering OTC trading solutions, and supporting high-profile blockchain projects and traditional financial institutions entering crypto. As a Business Development and Partnerships Associate, you will drive growth for our two core business lines: OTC and liquidity provisioning. You will acquire new counterparties and partners globally, cultivate Wintermute's existing relationships with a focus on the United States market, and own a set of opportunities from end-to-end, establishing your own strategic growth agenda with support from leadership in our US and global offices.

What you'll do

• Grow the OTC business across traditional finance and crypto native ecosystems by developing and executing your own growth plan, including acquiring new counterparties, developing existing relationships, and cooperating with developer teams on productizing solutions and executing trades
• Grow the crypto liquidity provision business by deepening relationships with existing crypto projects and acquiring new ones
• Develop new relationships with high-profile crypto projects, crypto venture capitalists, institutional investors, miners, and other parties in the crypto ecosystem, bringing them to the next level systematically
• Work with various cross-functional teams to drive brand awareness in the key markets you are responsible for
• Develop existing relationships with exchanges globally and bring them to the next level
• Track key launches and news in the crypto ecosystem and proactively identify cooperation and business development opportunities

What you bring

• A bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of work experience in a high-performing, fast-paced environment such as consulting, banking, or fintech
• Experience in the financial services or capital markets industry, with business development or client-facing roles such as B2B sales, management consulting, investment banking, or sales and trading
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to be convincing, concise, precise, a good listener, clear on next steps, and reliable in following up
• Comfort navigating legal and commercial aspects of business development
• Strong product knowledge of OTC derivatives
• Understanding of and interest in token structures, market making, CEX and DEX liquidity provision, and trading and market liquidity dynamics

Nice to have

• Experience with crypto markets, trading companies, or hedge funds
• SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses
