Crypto Operations Specialist (London)

As a Crypto Operations Specialist at Asset Reality, you carry out crypto operations for the digital assets Asset Reality holds on behalf of law enforcement and government clients. These assets come from real investigations and court orders, where every transfer is irreversible and every action may be examined in court. You handle transfers, realisations, and remittance under dual control, ensure the Platform records and reports each step correctly, and help crypto operations improve by identifying gaps in procedures, controls, and the Platform itself.

What you'll do

• Carry out transfers under written procedures and quorum approval, moving assets across online and offline custody.
• Take part in key generation and offline signing sessions and keep the records each one requires.
• Coordinate Asset Reality realisations with execution venues, reconcile proceeds against mandates, and remit funds to clients.
• Ensure every report, record and reconciliation the Platform produces is correct and complete before it reaches a client, court or auditor, including realisation reports, chain-of-custody records and balance statements.
• Define what each report and record must contain, test new releases against real operational scenarios before they go live, and raise defects through to resolution.
• Reconcile onchain balances, Platform records and bank records daily, and investigate every discrepancy to closure.
• Follow operating procedures and propose updates where they fall short. Log incidents and near misses, and track corrective actions.
• Handle day-to-day operational contact with technology providers, execution venues, and banks.
• Support live operations, including seizures, as part of an on-call rota.

What you bring

• Personal experience executing high-value digital asset transfers under dual control, whether in law enforcement, a government agency, a custodian, an exchange, or an institutional fintech.
• Experience running daily reconciliations across onchain, Platform and bank records, and investigating discrepancies to closure.
• Working knowledge of multi-party computation and hardware security module custody, and of offline signing.
• Understanding of the chain-level differences that cause losses: account and coin-based models, nonces and transaction expiry, smart contracts and protocols, token opt-ins, memo and tag fields.
• Precision and methodical approach; ability to write clear, exact records.
• Eligibility and willingness to undergo Security Check vetting.
• Ability to work in the office (City of London) four to five days a week.
• Willingness to join an out-of-hours on-call rota.

Nice to have

• Security Check or Developed Vetting clearance already in place.
• Experience of court-ordered asset recovery, confiscation or insolvency processes.
• Familiarity with the ISO 27001 information security standard, System and Organization Controls 2 reports or the Digital Operational Resilience Act, from the operating side.
• Languages relevant to Asset Reality's European clients.
