As an Events Coordinator at Rain, you'll help execute a global calendar of events that connect the company with partners, prospects, and new markets. You'll manage logistics across major industry conferences like Money20/20 and hosted dinners and workshops in cities from Singapore to Mexico City, ensuring every event is well-run and delivers measurable impact for the business.
What you'll do
- Coordinate logistics for multiple events simultaneously, including conference booths, sponsorships, dinners, and side events, sourcing venues, managing vendor contracts, and ensuring booth materials and swag arrive on time.
- Book hotels and travel for the Rain team attending each event and maintain organized records of everyone's plans.
- Create Know Before You Go (KBYG) decks that prepare the team for each event, covering agenda, booth staffing, planned meetings, and key people to connect with.
- Track timelines and spending for each event, including vendor invoices, from planning through wrap-up.
- Keep communications flowing while the Events Manager is onsite, fielding questions from internal teams and vendors and escalating issues that need quick decisions.
- Work with sales and partnerships teams to identify key stakeholders for each event and help shape guest lists and invitations.
- Travel to support events onsite, from booth setup to running check-in at hosted dinners.
- Pitch new event ideas and formats, and help track results such as attendance and meetings booked to inform future planning.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks as needed, from packing gift bags before a conference to rebooking hotels when plans change.
What you bring
- 1+ years of hands-on event experience, ideally at a startup, fintech, crypto or web3 company, or agency, with at least one event managed from start to finish.
- A track record of strong organization and attention to detail, able to juggle multiple events at once while managing contracts, venues, bookings, decks, swag, and shipping.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems quickly when plans change on event day, keeping partners and teammates informed.
- Curiosity about stablecoins and payments, or willingness to learn fast so you can hold meaningful conversations with fintech, crypto, and enterprise partners.
- Creative instincts grounded in business understanding, with ideas that help each event achieve its goals for Rain.
- A low-ego, hands-on attitude, comfortable with everything from packing gift bags to pitching new event concepts in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build working relationships with internal teams and outside vendors while representing Rain professionally.
- Willingness to travel regularly, both domestically and internationally, and flexibility around event schedules.
Nice to have
- Experience working major fintech or crypto conferences such as Money20/20 and familiarity with how that circuit operates.
- Experience shipping booth materials and swag internationally, including navigating customs paperwork.
- Familiarity with event registration and CRM tools like Luma or HubSpot.
- An eye for design reflected in booth layouts and swag selection.
What we offer
- Unlimited vacation with a minimum of 10 days required annually.
- Flexible working options, work from home, office, or both, with a home workspace stipend for new team members.
- Health, dental, and vision coverage with Rain covering 95% of costs for you and 90% for dependents, plus 100% company-subsidized life insurance.
