Financial Crime Analyst Crypto/Digital Assets with English - EY GDS Spain - On site

As a Financial Crime Analyst in EY GDS Spain's Malaga office, you'll extend your knowledge and experience by working on international projects in the financial crime space. You'll support clients in choosing suitable business solutions and participate in digital transformation initiatives across the financial services sector.

What you'll do

• Conduct blockchain analysis of transactions and wallet activity to identify suspicious patterns, trace fund flows, and support financial crime investigations across digital asset networks
• Review and analyze cryptocurrency transactions to detect unusual activity, assess financial crime risks, and ensure compliance with AML/CFT regulations, including crypto wallet investigations and cross-chain transaction tracing
• Apply "Know Your Business" procedures to validate and assess business customers and corporates, ensuring compliance with AML, sanctions, and regulatory requirements
• Implement and update Financial Crime Compliance policies and procedures
• Conduct risk assessments
• Provide functional support for the design and development of AML technological tools
• Communicate findings with clients and prepare team reports
• Perform quality checks of team deliverables
• Report to senior management

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in money laundering and terrorism financing prevention within the financial sector, specifically in L2 investigations, STR/SAR reporting, and complex investigations
• Training and specific experience in anti-money laundering and terrorism financing prevention
• High-level English proficiency (C1)
• Availability to work 100% on-site at the Malaga office
• Teamwork, communication, and innovation skills
• Autonomy, critical thinking, and strong analytical capacity
• Proactivity and problem-solving ability
• High learning capacity

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge of blockchain analysis tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic
• Experience in the financial sector
• Experience in Fintech, VASP, or gaming and betting companies
• Experience with US market customers
• Previous experience with Big 4 or similar companies
