Financial Crime Analyst Crypto/Digital Assets with English - EY GDS Spain - On site

As a Financial Crime Analyst in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you will support clients in the Financial Crime area by conducting blockchain analysis, cryptocurrency transaction monitoring, and Know Your Business procedures. You'll work on international projects with the newest technologies and take part in digital transformation initiatives.

What you'll do

• Conduct blockchain analysis of transactions and wallet activity to identify suspicious patterns, trace fund flows, and support financial crime investigations across digital asset networks.
• Review and analyze digital asset transactions to detect unusual activity, assess financial crime risks, and ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations, including crypto wallet investigations and cross-chain transaction tracing.
• Apply Know Your Business procedures to validate and assess business customers and corporates, ensuring compliance with AML, sanctions, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and update Financial Crime Compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments.
• Provide functional support for the design and development of AML technological tools.
• Communicate with clients on team reporting and findings.
• Perform quality checks of the team's work.
• Report to senior management on investigations and compliance matters.

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in money laundering and terrorism financing prevention within the financial sector, specifically in L2 investigations, STR/SAR reporting, and complex investigations.
• Training and specific experience in money laundering and terrorism financing.
• High-level English proficiency (C1 level).
• Availability to work 100% on-site in the Malaga office.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge of blockchain analysis tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic.
• Experience in the financial sector.
• Experience in Fintech, VASP, or gaming/betting companies.
• Experience with US market customers.
• Prior experience with Big4 or similar companies.
