Most business development roles in crypto pay between $43k and $250k, with a median of $150k.

As Head of Sales & Partnerships at OKX in Australia, you will build and lead the sales and partnerships function to drive the next phase of OKX's growth in the Australian market. You own revenue, AUM and trading volume targets, close deals with customers, sign strategic partnerships, and lead a team that turns opportunities into measurable business results. This is a hands-on role where you will both sell and build the team and playbook required to scale.

What you'll do

  • Own the Australian sales plan and revenue targets, with clear accountability for pipeline, forecast and delivery. Identify and prioritise the highest-value customer segments and accounts, and set clear KPIs and operating rhythms including pipeline reviews, forecasting and win/loss analysis.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team in Australia with clear targets and incentives, coaching them on a repeatable sales process of prospecting, qualification, closing and account management.
  • Develop and execute strategies to accelerate customer acquisition, activation, engagement, retention and trading activity. Build scalable commercial models and growth channels rather than relying solely on short-term campaigns or individual relationships.
  • Personally support the closing of high-value customers, including institutional and VIP/high-net-worth clients, and work with Operations, Product and Marketing to tailor propositions for each segment.
  • Originate, negotiate and close strategic partnerships that materially accelerate OKX's growth in Australia. Explore new distribution channels beyond traditional crypto acquisition, such as fintech, payments, brokerage and wealth platforms, and own partner relationships after signing.
  • Feed market and competitor insight back to Product and Marketing to improve customer journeys, propositions and conversion across the funnel.
  • Partner closely with Compliance, Legal and Risk teams to ensure commercial strategies and market initiatives are developed within applicable regulatory requirements.

What you bring

  • 8+ years in sales, business development or partnerships, including experience leading a sales team
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue or sales targets, and of building or scaling a sales function, ideally within crypto, fintech, trading, brokerage, financial services or another competitive, regulated business
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable results: revenue, trading volume, new customers won and AUM
  • A strong understanding of the Australian market, including local customer behaviour, competitors and growth opportunities
  • Hands-on seller who can still lead from the front
  • Proven experience closing complex, high-value deals with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to originate and negotiate strategic partnerships and commercial arrangements
  • Comfort using CRM and pipeline data to forecast and manage performance
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a global matrix organisation
  • Comfort in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment where leaders are expected to build rather than simply manage
  • A genuine interest in blockchain technology, digital assets and the evolution of financial markets

Nice to have

  • An existing book of clients or partners in Australia's crypto, fintech, institutional or payments ecosystem
  • Experience at a crypto exchange or platform, or other regulated financial services business
  • Understanding of crypto trading products, customer segments and market structure
  • Experience in trading, brokerage, derivatives or other transaction-driven businesses where success is measured by customer trading activity and AUM
  • Experience working across global and cross-cultural teams
  • Familiarity with Australia's regulatory environment for digital assets and financial services
  • A degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related discipline

What we offer

  • Competitive total compensation package
  • Learning and development programs and education subsidy for your growth and development
  • Various team building programs and company events
  • Wellness and meal allowances
  • Comprehensive healthcare schemes for you and your dependants
